The Masters Tournament, which is popularly known as the U.S Masters outside of America and North America is one-quarter of the four major championships in the professional golf season. The tournament is simply known as The Masters in the United States.

CBS and Augusta National Golf Club has enjoyed a long-standing relationship; the broadcasting network has televised the tournament since 1956. CBS is still considered the official broadcaster of the tournament in the United States. However, ESPN acquired rights to broadcast the early-round coverage of the tournament in 2008.
